Manufacturing Operations Supervisor - Dairy Manufacturing

Currently, Meijer is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor. Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for daily production, planning, and management of job assignments. Position is responsible for all aspects of production, process, safety, and sanitation and proper interpretation of the collective bargaining agreement where applicable. Practices 200% safety accountability (self and others).
Key Deliverables:
Interviews, hires, leads and supervises production and sanitation team members
Independently plans and coordinates work to meet daily production goals
Trains, coaches and leads work teams to achieve performance, quality, cost and service goals. Ensure their ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
Records and delivers coaching disciplinary action to team members as necessary
Responsible for continuous evaluation of production processes in order to recommend and implement process improvement. Use appropriate reporting to evaluate results for expected improvements
Work closely with team members in an effort to improve plant key performance indicators and manufacturing/operational metrics
Maintains the quality of production by holding product to Meijer standards while taking the necessary action to correct and improve
Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment while ensuring adherence to Meijer policies, procedures and practices
Ensures all team members are following GMP policies

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred
3+ years of leadership and/or production management experience
Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
