Sr. SolidWorks Design Technician

Function as the SolidWorks Subject Matter Expert for the Commercial Mechanical Team.
Will partner with engineers on New Product Development projects and MCO Projects to produce required 3D models.
Lead and execute Engineering Change Orders to release new models/components for those programs, through which there will be leadership required with the extended teams in Mexico, India and China for the production of 2D prints to company standards.
Coordinate testing and data acquisition within the Regal labs to support product qualification.
Develop design elements for new products as requested.
Support research into company components and manufacturing practices with internal systems in order to facilitate design decision making processes.
The ability to perform some computer aided analysis work (FEA, CFD) would be ideal.
2 or 4 year Technical Degree.
Very strong SolidWorks skills, both with model and print development. Experienced with EDGE, Oracle or equivalent PLM (Product Life Management) system.
Skilled with Microsoft Office software or equivalent.
Experienced with complex mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
5 years experience in motors and machines.
Green Belt trained. Proven track record in product design and product / manufacturing support. 5 years SolidWorks experience.
Practical knowledge of working with and designing for agency standards (UL preferred).
Experience driving product testing and documenting the results.
