Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our compounding pharmacy team.
In this role, you will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to prepare customized medications, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare compounded medications accurately and efficiently according to prescribed formulas and guidelines.
Measure, mix, and package medications using specialized compounding equipment and techniques.
Maintain a clean and organized compounding area, adhering to safety and quality control protocols.
Assist pharmacists in verifying prescriptions, interpreting medication orders, and conducting inventory management.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients to address any questions or concerns related to compounded mediations.
Document all compounding activities and maintain accurate records.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their satisfaction with compounded medications and addressing any issues or inquires promptly.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) designation from an accredited program.
Previous experience in compounding pharmacy preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to maintain confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
Schedule:
Full-time.
