Assistant Production Manager performs supervisory and other management responsibilities while also performing switching assignments.
Assistant Production Manager distributes switching assignments to handlers and coordinate switching activities.
At the direction of the production manager, Assistant Production Manager manage the completion of administrative paperwork for reporting daily activity to the corporate office and have some responsibility for ensuring compliance with all FHI policies and procedures.
High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to speak and write English for effective communication.
Basic math skills.
Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
Mental reasoning capabilities and mature problem solving skills while managing multiple priorities.
Interact respectfully and courteously with employees, co-workers, management, customers and vendors.
Demonstrate safety consciousness and set tone for safe, productive, respectful work environment.
Demonstrate understanding of preventive measures to reduce freight and property damage.
Demonstrate interest in and understanding of all FHI policies and procedures and other employment issues.
Leadership skills and ability to supervise people and production effectively.
Must have valid driver's license and pass consumer background checks.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
